Louise Masse (Team ABC3 Project Leader) conducted a study to understand the factors that facilitate or impede the implementation of the “Pathway for the Identification, Assessment and Management of Overweight and Obese Children & Youth” in clinical setting (Masse et al., Preventive Medicine Reports, 2018).

Geoff Ball (Team ABC3 Project Leader) published a scoping review that defined metabolically healthy obesity in children (Damanhoury et al., Obesity Reviews, 2018).

Jill Hamilton (Team ABC3 Project Leader) examined the associations of gestational diabetes with maternal glucose metabolism and children adiposity 10 to 14 years’ postpartum (Lowe et al., JAMA Network, 2018).

Jonathon Maguire, Patricia Parkin (Team ABC3 Co-Investigators), and Catherine Birken (Team ABC3 Project Leader) measured the agreement between the health claims diagnosis algorithm and questionnaire diagnosis of asthma in children younger than 6 years of age (Omand et al., IJPDS, 2018).

Sarah Carsley, Laura Anderson (Team ABC3 Co-Investigators), and Catherine Birken (Team ABC3 Project Leader) reviewed definitions of continuous cadiometabolic risk scores in children <10 years of age (Kamel et al., Obesity Reviews, 2018).

Patricia Parkin, Jonathon Maguire (Team ABC3 Co-Investigators), and Catherine Birken (Team ABC3 Project Leader) described iron deficiency among low income Canadian toddlers in non-Community and Community Health Centres (Bayoumi et al., BMC Family Practice, 2018).

Jill Hamilton (Team ABC3 Project Leader) evaluated patient meal orders and consumption in hospitals with a revised menu design that included child-friendly labeling (Basak et al., The Journal of Pediatrics, 2018).

Geoff Ball (Team ABC3 Project Leader) determined parent’s accuracy in using portion size estimation aids to estimate portion sizes in clinical and home settings (Mushquash et al., Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior, 2018).

Meghan Walker (Team ABC3 Trainee), Jess Haines (Team ABC3 Co-Investigator) and, Amy McPherson (Team ABC3 Project Leader) wrote a commentary examining risk factors for overweight and obesity in children with disabilities (Walker et al., Developmental Neurorehabilitation, 2018).

Jill Hamilton (Team ABC3 Project Leader) investigated cardiovascular changes in obese youth with obstructive sleep apnea (Hui et al., The American Journal of Cardiology, 2018).

Patricia Parkin and Jonathon Maguire (Team ABC3 Co-Investigators) examined vitamin D level and supplementation in pediatric atopic dermatitis (Lara-Corrales et al., Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery, 2018).
