Last week, our team members met for our 3rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Calgary as a satellite meeting to the 7th Conference on Recent Advances in the Prevention and Treatment of Childhood and Adolescent Obesity.
Check out some of the highlights!
Our Team ABC3 Project Leaders and teams provided study updates on their current projects, along with sharing insights on successes and challenges to date. We also welcomed Dr. Suzanne Tough’s (Team ABC3 Scientific Advisory Board member) colleagues, Drs. Sheila McDonald and Jessica Walsh who presented their work on adverse childhood experiences and resiliency.
We opened our AGM to trainees attending the conference and from the Calgary area for a chance to meet with our team of senior researchers for 1-on-1 ‘Office Hours’. Trainees were able to get advice on career goals, find out about current projects and research, and make new connections.
It’s always a worthwhile experience when our team gets together in person, sharing the progress we’ve made (and challenges we’ve met). There was no shortage of thoughtful dialogue and networking!
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make our AGM a success!
We’d also like to thank UBC Interprofessional Continuing Education (including Katia, Kristina, and Cynthia) for hosting us and the incredible 7th Conference on Recent Advances in the Prevention and Treatment of Childhood and Adolescent Obesity!
