Karen Tu (Team ABC3 Co-Investigator) evaluated if there were departures from the WHO Child Growth Standards in postnatal growth of healthy Canadian children in Ontario up to age 2 years (Park et al., Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology, 2017).

Jess Haines (Team ABC3 Co-Investigator) explored snacking patterns of preschool-aged boys and girls (Hutchinson et al., CJDPR, 2017).

Mark Tremblay (Team ABC3 Co-Investigator) examined handgrip strength and its association with cardiometabolic risk factors in a large sample for Canadian children and youth (Rioux et al., Metabolic Syndrome and Related Disorders, 2017). He also described sources of variability in obesity related variables in children aged 9-11 in 12 countries (Katzmarzyk et al., International Journal of Obesity, 2017). Finally, he examined whether meeting vs not meeting movement/non-movement guidelines was associated with health-related quality of life in children from 12 countries (Sampasa-Kanyinga et al., Public Health, 2017).

Jonathon Maguire, Sarah Carsley, Patricia Parkin (Team ABC3 Co-Investigators), and Catherine Birken (Team ABC3 Project Leader) examined whether there was an association between temperament and outdoor play in young children (Sharp et al., Academic Pediatrics, 2017).
