We’re pleased to share the success of some our Team ABC3 members in recently receiving CIHR grants!

Laura Anderson (Team ABC3 Co-Investigator) recently received an Operating Grant in the Sugar and Health competition on a project titled: Impact of the Healthy Kids Community Challenge (HKCC) population health intervention on sugar intake and child health.

Jess Haines (Team ABC3 Co-Investigator) received a grant for the project titled: Testing the impact and cost-effectiveness of a novel, home-based obesity prevention intervention.

Louise Masse (Team ABC3 Project Leader) received two grants: 1) Impact of transitioning to secondary schools on behaviours associated with obesity and academic-related outcomes: A socio-ecological perspective, and 2) A Good Start Matters: Do supportive childcare centre environments, policies and practices enhance physical activity?

Amy McPherson (Team ABC3 Project Leader) received a grant for a project titled: Children and Teens in Charge of their Health (CATCH): A feasibility study of solution-focused coaching to foster healthy lifestyles in children and young people with physical disabilities.

Congrats team! Keep it up!

  1. At a time when it’s increasingly difficult to secure national-level research funding in Canada, it’s wonderful to see Laura, Louise, Jess, and Amy have success at CIHR. Great work!!
