In our team grant, some of the research we’ll lead over the next few years is linked with the CANadian Pediatric Weight management Registry (CANPWR), which is led by Katherine Morrison at McMaster University in Hamilton, ON.
Before the full-scale CANPWR study was launched, a smaller group of investigators and clinical sites completed a pilot study. One of the objectives of this initial research was to compare the profile of CANPWR participants to a reference sample of Canadian boys and girls from the Canadian Health Measures Survey. Mark Tremblay from the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute and University of Ottawa led much of the work to pull this paper together and get it published, which is now available (open access) HERE at BMC Obesity.
